When you submit an enquiry we collect your name, date of birth, home address, phone number and email address, whether you own or rent your home (and, if you own it, its approximate value and any mortgage balance), and details of your business: its name, company number if it has one, trading address, industry, turnover and the funding you are looking for. If you choose to upload documents, such as business bank statements, filed accounts or identification, we collect those too. We may also collect information from third parties, including credit reference agencies and Companies House, and details of other directors, shareholders and guarantors that you give us. We also collect technical data such as your IP address and browser type, and, only if you accept them, analytics and advertising cookies.

We use your information to assess finance eligibility and introduce your enquiry to funders; verify identity and meet anti-money laundering obligations; perform and administer our contracts with you; contact you about your enquiry; send marketing where the law allows or you agree; and protect and enforce our legal rights. Our lawful bases are legitimate interests, legal obligation, contractual necessity and, where required, consent. We do not sell your data.

Funders, to whom we introduce your enquiry so they can consider it. Credit reference and fraud prevention agencies, including for identity verification and anti-money laundering checks. Regulators, law enforcement and professional advisers, where required by law. Debt recovery parties, such as solicitors, courts and insolvency practitioners, where applicable. Successor businesses, if we are sold, merged or reorganised. Service providers who work for us under contract, such as hosting (Netlify), our customer database (Supabase), secure document storage (Cloudflare) and email delivery (Resend). If you accept advertising cookies, Meta Platforms also receives browsing and event data (such as pages viewed and completing our eligibility check) through the Meta Pixel, and if you accept analytics cookies, Google receives usage data.

We or our funders may search your credit record at credit reference agencies, including records of directors, shareholders and financially linked individuals. These agencies keep a record of each search. If fraud is detected, individuals may be refused services or finance. Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place in line with UK GDPR. Contact us for details.

We keep personal information for as long as we have a relationship with you, and afterwards for as long as is needed to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements, which is typically up to six years. You may ask us to delete your data where no legal obligation or legitimate need to keep it applies.
